Charming Shepherd’s Hut in the Great British Countryside – Perfect for Glamping in Lincolnshire

Nestled in the tranquil Lincolnshire Wolds in the very countryside that inspired Tennyson stands Shepherds Hut in the Wolds. We’re in the quiet hamlet of Bag Enderby, just 8 houses and a farm. Facilities- shops, pubs, etc are 6 miles in various charming market towns. If it’s peace and quiet you’re after this is the place to be. The Hut is fully equipped and has a comfortable double bed, kitchen area, shower, proper toilet, and wood-burner. It has its own quiet garden with views of the fields and hills. I provide bedding, towels, basic kitchen ingredients, and more, really you just need to bring food and drink, the rest is provided. There is wifi, but no TV. It’s a quiet retreat – we appreciate guests who crave that. We have no light pollution here so have fabulous night skies.

Secluded Getaway at a Luxury Safari Camp in Uva Province, Sri Lanka

This secluded getaway is located on the eastern border of the Udawalawe National Park in Uva Province, Sri Lanka, and can accommodate three guests. This luxury safari tent has one bedroom and an attached bathroom. The bedroom has a double bed with a mosquito net, one twin-size bed, and a desk. In the bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, a mirror, and a shower. Linens, towels, and toiletries are provided. Guests will have access to a kitchen area on the campsite. Breakfast and a barbecue dinner are served. Other amenities include Wi-Fi and wake up services. Outside the tent, there is a patio with lounge chairs and a table. In the yard, there are bean bag chairs and a lovely dining table surrounded by forest. The host lights a bonfire at night, creating a special camping ambiance. After dinner, guests can relax in the hammock and stargaze. The common area on the campsite has free Wi-Fi, board games, a library. A fan and an emergency telephone are provided in the tent. Continental and Sri Lankan breakfasts are served and include fresh juices. Guests will also enjoy a barbecue dinner around the campfire. Unlimited tea, coffee, fresh fruits, snacks, juices, soft drinks, and water are provided. Guests will also enjoy unlimited local alcoholic beverages, including beer, arrack, gin, brandy, and imported wine. For the safari, a complimentary picnic basket with chilled beverages and snacks is provided. Unlimited water is also provided. For photographers, the host can provide monopods, bean bags, and other equipment upon request. Entry permits, park fees, and Government taxes are included. An experienced naturalist guide and a dedicated ranger from the Department of Wildlife will be with guests to inform them about the environment and all the species of wildlife. Special additions are available for guests who stay two nights or more, including night walks along the borders of the National Parks.
