Located on the Delhi bypass in Jaipur at Lakshman Dungri, Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Temple is a Hindu revered temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple is perched on a hillock and offers some panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Besides, the shrine has a spacious sanctum which can accommodate around 500 people at once.

Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Temple was constructed by Pandit Radhe Lal Choubey in 1960. It is said that Radhe Lal ji was on an outing when he spotted a rock with a carving of Lord Hanuman. He thought of it as a sign and decided to build the temple. Some also recognize the area as Narwar Das ki Khol where Baba Nirmal Das spent most of his life worshipping Lord Hanuman centuries ago. When the temple was constructed, it was just a tiny shrine that occupied about 100 square feet of area in the Lakshman Dungri Hills. With time, the complex was expanded and new structures were built around the sanctum sanctorum.

Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Temple adorns a traditional architecture that resembles a Rajasthani or Rajputi Palace. It is built in the hills of Lakshman Dungri in Jaipur and is quite a large temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Devotees need to climb about a kilometre distance to reach the temple. The buildings are two-storey and are made of pink sandstone and marble. Known for its traditional charm, the structure has typical Rajasthani domes, windows with Jali work, carved pillars, elegant chhatris and spacious corridors. A flight of stairs leads to the entrance. Just below the temple is a tank of water where devotees can wash their hands and feet before they enter. The temple premises have wide pathways, parking area, guest houses, large dining halls, several lawns with stone seats, potted plants and trees that surround the entire structure. Another palace-like structure located in the centre of the temple complex is the sanctum sanctorum. It has a tiny room where the idol of the presiding deity is installed on a piece of marble. The idol is placed in a slanting position with two rows of marble steps on either side.

Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Temple is located amidst the Lakshman Dungri Hills close to the Delhi Bypass road, about 13 kilometres to the north-east if Jaipur city centre. It is easily accessible by the roadways within the city and people can choose one of the three routes that lead to the temple. The first route goes via Shanti Path – NH 248, the second goes via Tonk Road – NH 248 and the third goes through NH 248 – Galta Road. Rental cabs are best for tourists as they can cover several attractions in a day. Otherwise, an auto rickshaw, a tuk-tuk or a local bus ride can be a good option to commute shorter distances in the city.
