Most of the resort was built using local materials that were bought from local villagers, offering employment to those communities at the same time. At the moment more than 89% of the staff are Papuans, many of them ex-sharkfinners and dynamite fishermen. This unique resort consists of 6 traditional water bungalows (max. 20 guests) and 1 deluxe cottage which offer traditional Papuan accommodation with excellent food and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The whole resort was built by Papuan villagers and local materials such as round wood and leaves of palm trees were used in the construction. The resort is truly part of nature and every morning guests are awoken by a soft yet beautiful orchestra of birds.
